Camry has long stopped being just a “popular Japanese sedan.” In Kyiv’s short-term rental market, it occupies roughly the same niche as a good business-class hotel: it doesn’t try to impress — it simply does everything right. No surprises on the highway, reasonable fuel consumption, and a rear seat where you can actually sit comfortably without feeling folded in half.

What kind of car does RentDrive offer?

The XV80 is built on Toyota’s TNGA platform. Toyota finally unified the Camry for all global markets — one body style for Asia, Europe, and the US, which wasn’t the case before. Visually, the car became slightly wider and longer. The center of gravity was lowered, and the suspension was reworked. On the road, this is noticeable: the car leans less in corners and feels more stable at highway speeds, even in crosswinds.

Sound insulation also improved. At 110–120 km/h, you can comfortably talk inside the cabin without raising your voice.

204 horsepower with an automatic transmission doesn’t make the Camry a sports car, but overtaking on the highway never feels stressful. Fuel consumption of 6.5 L/100 km for this engine size is also better than most clients expect.

Equipment: what’s already included

We do not offer a basic stripped-down Camry. The vehicle already includes everything most drivers actually need for city driving and highway trips:

The rear seats deserve a separate mention. There’s genuinely a lot of space there — more than in many crossovers within the same price category. Airport-to-hotel trips with luggage and two passengers in the back are not a problem at all.

Toyota Camry rental prices

The rental rate depends on the duration. The longer you rent, the lower the daily cost becomes. That’s standard practice, but the difference between a 2-day rental and a monthly rental here is quite significant.

The security deposit is 1,000 USD. It is blocked on the card, not charged. After the vehicle is returned undamaged and without fines, the deposit is fully released. The standard package includes 350 km total mileage for the rental period. Extra mileage costs from 0.10 USD/km.

CASCO and mandatory insurance are included. If an accident is not your fault, you bear no financial responsibility. If you are responsible, the maximum liability is limited to 2% of the vehicle value — this is the CASCO deductible, not the full repair cost.

When renting is cheaper than taxis

A 4–5-day business trip in Kyiv usually includes meetings, airport transfers, several office visits, and evening hotel rides. Bolt or Uber during peak hours can easily add 40–60% to the fare. Over five days, these rides often total 250–350 USD or more. At the same time, you never know exactly what car class will arrive, and pickup times are not always predictable.

With a rental, the price is fixed from day one. The car is parked outside your hotel — no waiting required.

For corporate clients, there’s another important point — the ability to receive company invoices. Taxi apps usually cannot provide this properly.

Who is the Camry rental suitable for?

Business trips

This is the main scenario. The Camry feels excellent on routes like Kyiv–Lviv or Kyiv–Odesa, where spending 4–5 hours behind the wheel does not feel exhausting. The seats remain comfortable even after several hours, and road noise stays outside the cabin. For business travel, the car looks neutral in a good way — respectable without trying too hard.

International visitors

Required documents are simple: a passport and a driver’s license. Minimum age is 23, with at least 2 years of driving experience. Delivery to Boryspil or Zhulyany Airport costs 25 USD. Staff speak Ukrainian, Russian, and English if needed.

Long-term rentals for companies

Monthly rentals start from 60 USD/day. Owning a corporate car — considering insurance, full CASCO, maintenance, seasonal tires, and depreciation — often costs more. And that doesn’t even include the time spent managing the vehicle. For many small businesses, monthly rental is no longer a temporary solution but a permanent one.

Temporary replacement for your personal car

Maintenance, repairs, or the gap between selling one car and buying another — renting a Camry for a week feels like using a proper full-size vehicle, not a compromise.

How to pick up the car

The office is located in Kyiv, 1G Bohatyrska Street. Paperwork takes around 10–15 minutes: passport, driver’s license, and a bank card for the deposit. The car is handed over fully fueled, clean, and ready to drive.

The bumper comment is fair. The XV80 sits slightly lower and feels sportier than the previous generation. On normal roads, this is not noticeable, but steep parking entrances and high curbs deserve some caution.
